FAREWELL TO RICHARD AND SARA WILLAN EVIAS CHURCH 3RD NOVEMBER 2013 at 12 noon

(AFTER THE LAY LED SERVICE WHICH STARTS AT 11.15)

Please come to an informal farewell party for Richard and Sara in Evias Church, with which they have both been so strongly associated.

The party will be held after the Lay Led service, which next month is being led by Guy Hony and will last about 45 minutes. Last year, in the equivalent service, Guy told us in his (illustrated) address about the lives and service records of two valiant soldiers from the village, including Martin Willan (Richard's uncle), both of whose names appear on our War Memorial. It was extremely interesting and moving. This year, Guy is going to tell us about two more villagers whose names are on the War Memorial, Lt A N Trotter (WWI) and Gunner J M F Faramus (WWII) and about whom he is at present doing the necessary research.

So, do please come to the service first, but, if you would prefer just to come to the party, that will be fine.

The PCC look forward very much to seeing you – and hope for a huge turnout.
